Accommodation

IIWEC provides separate accommodation for males and females. In 2010 IIWEC will be renting houses for students, within walking distance from class. Generally we'll have two students to a room.

The houses will be furnished with just about everything you should need, including kitchen equipment (fridge, microwave, toaster, cutlery and crockery etc), washing machine, beds, sofas, dining tables and chairs, irons and ironing boards and some study desks. We'll pay for bills and provide general cleaning equipment. Students should provide their own personal hygene items, towels and bedding (where possible).

Students are expected to share in the hosehold chores such as cleaning, taking out the rubbish, lawn maintenance.

I just saw the first student house - it looks really nice! It is in a very good condition, at the end of a quiet street with no big roads anywhere nearby. It has bushland on two sides, and has spacious, comfortable living spaces. There are lots of bushwalks around. Whoever ends up staying there will like it!

Food

IIWEC will maintain a stock of breakfast-type foods at all of the student houses, and pay for 10x cafeteria meals per person per week at the nearby Sydney Adventist Hospital.

Transport

While at IIWEC you'll often need to get about Sydney for outreach, attending church services and other church events, social activities and running your personal errands.

While public transport is available, by far the easiest way to get around is by driving. We encourage students to provide their own vehicles, but where that's not possible we do have some vehicles for you to use. Naturally there are some conditions on using our vehicles, and you'll have to accept responsibility for damages you cause and fines you incur.

IIWEC will reimburse you for fuel costs associated with your outreach work.
